Full Body Massage & Herbal Steam

Massage treats the whole body through touch :physically, mentally and emotionally. Ayurvedic massage uses essential oils that are chosen to suit your dosha. The massage techniques used include tapping, kneading and squeezing as well as the more traditional massage strokes you would expect. The style and flow of the massage is determined by who you are, and what your body needs for balance and well-being at the time.

Saunas or steam baths are the oldest form of relaxation therapies; they promote blood circulation, open the airways, enhance sweating and mucousal secretions, and regulate immune -modulating effect. The heat and moisture not only promotes bodily functioning, but also lubricates the body and regulates internal water metabolism. Having saunas or steam baths regularly helps harmonize the inner and outer aspects the body and calms the spirit as well.

Herbal Bath

Bathing represents a cleansing not only of the physical body but also of the spiritual self. Many purification rituals are associated with bathing; it is believed that ritual bathing in the waters of the Ganges River will purify the soul. In the simple Ayurveda context, a bath taken in the morning following self-massage is likened to bathing in the Ganges. In addition to cleansing body and spirit, bathing is also associated with numerous other benefits to the mind and body. The Ashtanga Hriyadam, one of the ancient Ayurveda texts, tells us that bathing improves sleep, appetite, sexual vigor, life span, and enthusiasm. The royal queens and princesses in ancient India were bathed in milk and fresh herbs to moisturize their skin untill it glowed.

Shirodhara Treatment

Shirodhara is a form of Ayurveda therapy that involves gently pouring liquids over the forehead and can be one of the steps involved in Panchakarma. The name comes from the Sankrit words "shiro" (head) and "dhara" (flow). The liquids used in shirodhara depend on what is being treated, but can include oil, milk, buttermilk, coconut water, or even plain water. Shirodara has been used to treat a variety of conditions including eye diseases, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, graying of hair, neurological disorders, memory loss, insomnia, hearing impairment, tinnitus, vertigo, Meniere's disease and certain types of skin diseases like psoriasis. THere are specialized forms of shirodhara called ksheeradhara, thakradhara, taildhaara and jaladhara.

Pinda Treatment (Fomentation)

This is a traditional Ayurvedic technique performs by applying small steam-heated bundles of crushed herbs tied in cotton bags and pressed gently on particular aching parts of the body. The fomentation treatment is done after a gentle massage using prescribed medicinal oils. It is effective in relieving cramps, sprains and sciatica and muscle tension. Massage removes stiffness of joints, improving posture and grace of movement.

Head, Neck, Shoulder and Back Massage

Head and Shoulder massage is a treatment that focuses on the head, shoulders and neck. Suitable oil blend is used for the massage and it encourages the mind and body to relax. The treatment relieves headaches, migraines, sinus problems and promoting hair growth. It also helps to release tension in the upper back, shoulders, neck, face and eyes.

Kativasti Treatment

Kativasti is an ideal therapy for lower backache & stiffness in the area. Around the lumbo-sacral area a small receptacle made of gram dough is placed and herbal oils are poured into it and held for a stipulated period of time as per the doctor’s instructions.

Body Scrub

A body scrub is a popular body treatment that is basically a facial for the body; it exfoliates and hydrates your skin, leaving it smooth and soft. A body scrub is done with an abrasive material - usually sea salt or sugar - mixed with some kind of massage oil and an aromatic like essential oils. If the scrub uses salt, it might be called a salt scrub, salt glow or sea salt scrub. The scrub is followed by an application of high quality lotion or cream that leaves your skin hydrated. This is not technically a massage because body treatments can be performed by estheticians, who are only licensed to work on skin, not the underlying muscle tissue (unless they are giving massage to the face, neck and shoulders)

Facial Beauty Pack and Massage

Unique procedure conditions and nourishes the skin. A face pack with a special blend of rare herbs is used to bring a glow to the complexion. This facial opens blocked pores, eliminates toxins, cleanses the face and improves skin texture.

Foot Massage.

Reflexology relieves tension, improves blood circulation and helps to promote the natural function of the particular areas of the body. Types of massage which stimulates proper circulation and brings necessary nutrients to the legs thereby prevent varicose veins. Massages on large muscles help eliminate fatigue while gentle strokes on lymph nodes help reduce swelling. Foot massage involves applying pressure to certain points on the foot that correspond to organs and systems in the body.
